Smaller turnout than usual tonight with the weather doing its thing π§οΈ, but those who made it out were treated to a great night of pinball, plenty of tight matches, and a few huge scores along the way.
Big thanks as always to Replay Bar for hosting us again β we really appreciate the continued support and having such a great space to run these events.
We kicked things off with 7/5/3/1 matchplay qualifying, where players earned points each round based on their finishing position, before moving into 3-strike finals β where a last on a game adds 2 strikes, a middle position 1 strike, and first no strikes. After three strikes youβre eliminated and we played until last player standing.
Congrats to our top 4 in both divisions β some strong performances across the board, especially with finals getting tight in both brackets.
A big shoutout to Tom for taking his second 1st place win and continuing to climb the ranks β great to see that consistency paying off. Also a huge nod to Jamie, who has been steadily improving and found himself in the βB-Division ineligibleβ camp for the first time. He was right on the cut line for A Division, and after a tie-break with Kaleb managed to secure his spot in A finals.
No slight on Kaleb though, who played amazingly all night and has been improving every event β a well-earned 2nd place in B Division and definitely one to watch.
1st place in each division took home a translite courtesy of Stern Army, while 2nd place scored a framed Stern flyer and AMD hat (thanks AMD!).
π Door prize went to Aaron Bloodnut, who picked up a framed Stern flyer thanks to AMD as well.
There were some great moments across the night, with Sol pulling off a clutch Ball 3 play β draining his final ball but somehow mashing the action button fast enough to sneak in a last-second TIE Fighter Multiball start. And to add to the great Star Wars moments, Tom absolutely blew it up getting close to 4B, including a massive ~500M 40x Hyperspace Hurry-Up in a single shot π.
Thanks again to everyone who braved the weather and came down β always a great vibe regardless of numbers β€οΈ.
Join us at Replay Bar for our next event β this time it's a Saturday session with doors opening at 4:00pm (not our usual weeknight slot π).
We'll kick things off with matchplay qualifying, and if time and numbers allow we'll roll into strikes finals β otherwise we'll keep the matchplay going for the full session. Either way, expect plenty of games and a great afternoon of pinball.
Whether you're chasing points or just keen for some flips, we hope to see you there! π₯
